La noticia fue confirmada por el vicepresidente de Electronic Arts Los Angeles Mark Skaggs y también comento que el anuncio oficial será en breve. Lo poco que se sabe hasta el momento es que el juego correrá con el motor gráfico SAGE, que se utilizó en la entrega C&C Generals y su expansión Zero Hour, y que se lanzará para PC, PlayStation 3 e Xbox 360. Seguirá la línea de sus antecesoras entregas, con una nueva facción, y un nuevo modo de juego sobre las aguas del mar.
